SQ1 is an award-winning family-owned micro-roaster that has spent the last 15 years roasting and serving some of the highest quality coffee in the world. We do our best to respect every person involved in the process of getting coffee from the seed to your cup. Our Motto: Do good work and leave the world better than you found it. Everything we do — our cafes, our coffee roasting lab, and our franchise business — is rooted in a commitment to excellence, to building communities, and to staying curious. Our mission statement and our core values guide us, allowing us to approach work more based on who we want to be, rather than on what we want to do. With coffee, Summit’s commitment to relationships begins with an approach to sourcing. Through making trips around the world every few months to find and revisit coffee producers, to working with the same farmers and cooperatives year after year, Summit values relationships above all else in the supply chain. We’re committed to finding the harmony of remarkable coffee, sourced responsibly from great partners, and roasted in small batches at our certified organic facility. From here, we distribute nationwide to our own cafés, and to those of our partners.
