Since 2009, Pavement has been welcoming all to experience exceptional coffees, homemade bagels, and community in our 8 locations in Boston and Cambridge. We seek to create positive energy for the community wherever we are. Our coffees are carefully sourced from farms and co-ops across the globe and then roasted in our facility in Brighton, Massachusetts. Both our seasonal single-origin coffees and our blends are selected to celebrate the specific flavor notes inherent in each. We taste and grade many coffees each season and choose only those that we are most excited about. Coffee is like people, each is unique

We’re here because we believe that coffee is more than just a commodity. We believe it is essential to weekends and workdays, brunches and bundt cakes, and everything in between. We also believe it’s essential to our farmer partners who attentively tend coffee trees from seed to harvest in hopes of making a good life for their family. We play fair, we play hard, and sometimes we just play because we believe that the most important thing we can do, besides making delicious coffee, is to enjoy the ride.

Founded in 2015 by Paul Massard and Chris Nolte, Per’La Specialty Roasters focuses on rare, highly-graded coffees from a rotating list of origins chosen based on both quality and seasonality. All coffee is roasted to order to ensure maximum freshness, flavor, and aroma

We created RISE because we were tired of the coffee products we saw on the market – loaded with sugar, calories, harmful chemicals and words we couldn’t spell. Our mission is to create the best tasting organic products on the planet and make them available for all to share. In 2014, we set out on a mission to brew the best tasting coffee on the planet, using the best organic ingredients we could source. Our story, much like our business, is always evolving. Everything we do — our cafes, our coffee roasting lab, and our franchise business — is rooted in a commitment to excellence, to building communities, and to staying curious. Our mission statement and our core values guide us, allowing us to approach work more based on who we want to be, rather than on what we want to do. With coffee, Summit’s commitment to relationships begins with an approach to sourcing. Through making trips around the world every few months to find and revisit coffee producers, to working with the same farmers and cooperatives year after year, Summit values relationships above all else in the supply chain. We’re committed to finding the harmony of remarkable coffee, sourced responsibly from great partners, and roasted in small batches at our certified organic facility. From here, we distribute nationwide to our own cafés, and to those of our partners.
