Holiday Drinks: Creating A Festive Latte

Spread the love

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to be a latte! When it gets a little chilly out, folks flock to their familiar and comforting favorites. But that doesn’t mean we have to stick to the same old thing! I, for one, have had enough pumpkin spice lattes and peppermint mochas for a lifetime. Let’s change it up a little!

The holiday season bring so much inspiration. The warming flavors of baking spices, nuts, and dark fruits pair beautifully with coffee and tea. Think of home, think of comfort, and find that special holiday flavor that will hit everyone with cozy nostalgia. For example, I love gingersnaps and gingerbread. Now, you could just get a bottle of gingerbread syrup and call it a day, but let’s make something a little more special! How about a Molasses Ginger Latte?!

Molasses Ginger Syrup

1 bottle of Monin Vanilla Syrup (regular or organic)

½ cup of Molasses

5oz (1 bottle) of ginger juice (such as Ginger People)

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and stir well to incorporate. Pour the mixture back into the Monin bottle for easy dispensing (and save the little bit of extra to top the bottle off later).  Use 3 pumps of syrup for a 12oz latte. You have many options for a garnish. A little whipped cream, some sugar crystals, and/or a little drizzle of molasses all work well. Bonus points for a tiny gingerbread cookie! Just like that, you’ve got an easy to execute, totally delicious, and unique holiday latte!

Feel free to use this recipe, or let it serve as inspiration. With just a little extra thought, your holiday drinks can go from run-of-the-mill, to something truly special!

Cheers,
